Working downtown Seattle has its share of benefits, including being near the iconic Pikes Place Market in the historical district of Seattle. This thriving market place provides the store front for many traditional vending opportunities including a fish, flower and vegetable markets.
Pikes Street Market on a busy day. People crowd around the various shops and attractions.
Outside the market. I simply love the brick pavers that have been used on the streets.
The only water fountain at Pikes Place Market. An entire ocean in addition to numerous shops in one of the wetest places in the continental United States and you can still die of dehydration. This is a stark reminder to always bring water with you. Otherwise, mirages like this water fountain fill your senses with false hope, crushing your spirits.
One of the many fish markets at Pikes Place. There are always lots of fresh fish here. And you hang around long enough, the fish vendors put on a very unique show. It is very entertaining.
